Oh, rare, Hana&Miri are in the bathroom together.
まる：「もちろん、わたくしもおります。」
Maru:[Of course, I’m here, too.]
まるがお風呂場で何かやってると、気になって見に来るはなとみり。
When Maru’s doing something in the bathroom, Hana&Miri come to check on him.
みり：「ねえ、しょっちゅうお風呂場に入り浸ってるけど、あのひと何やってんの？
別に面白い物なんて何もないけど。」
はな：「あたしに聞かないで。」
Miri:[Though he comes to the bathroom frequently, what on earth is he doing here?
Nothing interesting here.]
Hana:[I don’t know.]
まるにとってお風呂場とは、いわば聖地のような場所。
チビの頃から、洗面台のゴミ受けを持ち去って浴槽に持ち込み、延々と一人遊びをしていた。
確かに、浴槽の中だとおもちゃが転がってなくなることもないし、浴槽の壁に跳ね返って予測不能な動きをしてくれるから、遊び場にはもってこいですね。
それを自分で思いつくまるさん。そういうところが、まるさんの、まるさんたる所以ですね。
The bathroom is a very important place for Maru.
Since Maru was a kitten, he brought toys into the bathroom and played with them a lot.
The bathtub is certainly a great place to play because the toys don’t roll away.
Maru thought of it himself.
まる：「あのう、お風呂場は個室ってことでお願いしたいのですが。
ドアのところに”まる”のプレートをお願いします。」
Maru:[I want the bathroom to be my private room. Please hang a plate that says “Maru” on the door.]
