少し前のことなのですが、みりが左前足の肉球の脇をケガしてしまいました。
（↑この時はもうほぼ完治している状態です）
ダッシュで庭のはしごを駆け上がった時に、一瞬つまづいたように見えました。
その後木に登ったのですが、すぐに降りて来て、前足をペロペロしていたので見てみると、
少しだけでしたが血が出ていました。動物病院で見てもらうと、やはり肉球の脇が切れていて、
舐められる場所なので化膿して傷の治りが悪くなるといけないとのことで、
抗生剤のお薬を塗って、毛に貼りつかないタイプの包帯を巻いてもらって帰ってきました。
が、家についたとたん、前足をブルブルっとさせて、一瞬で吹き飛ぶ包帯。
その後も、長く巻いてみたり、端っこだけテープで留めてみたりと試行錯誤しましたが、
前足ブルブルで包帯は吹き飛びます。
肉球の脇だったこともあってか、それほど痛みがなかったのか、包帯を巻かなくてもずっと気にして舐めるような感じではありませんでした。でも、
・化膿を防ぐお薬は、1日1回塗りたい。
・お薬を塗った後は、舐めずにいてほしい。
ということでたどり着いたのが、コットンにお薬をつけてケガ部分に当て、
ブルブルしても飛んで行かない弱い粘着タイプのテープをその上から巻く。
そして舐め防止に、その時間だけエリザベスカラーをつける。
こうして過ごすこと1週間。
再び動物病院で傷口を見てもらうと、キレイに治ってきているとのことで、ほっと一安心。
念のためもう1週間お薬はつけておいてくださいとのことだったので、
午前中の数時間だけのエリザベスカラー生活がもうしばらく続きました。
梯子はもうかなり古くなっていたので、今は撤去してあります。
すっかり傷が治ったみりは、ジャンプで見晴台に登っていました。
そしてケガをしてしまったみりには本当に申し訳ないのですが、
でもエリザベスカラーのみりが可愛くて！
傷が良くなってから、写真を撮らせてもらいました！

After that, she climbed a tree, but she came right down, and she was licking her paw, and I looked at her, and she was bleeding, but only a little bit.
When I took her to the veterinary clinic, she had a cut on the side of her pad, and since it was a place where she was able to lick, I was told that it might fester and the wound might not heal well.
She came home from the vet with antibiotics applied to her wound and a bandage that didn’t stick to her fur.
But as soon as she got home, she shook her paw violently and the bandage blew off in an instant.
After that, I tried to wrap the bandage longer and fasten tape to the edge of the bandage, but the bandage blows off when she shakes her paw.
Maybe because it was the side of the pad, she might not have much pain, and it didn’t feel like she licked it worrying all the time without bandaging. But,
・I want to apply the medicine to prevent suppuration once a day.
・Please do not lick it after applying the medicine.
So I’ve come up with a cotton pad with some medicine, put it over her injured area, and then wrap a piece of weak adhesive tape over it that won’t fly away when she shakes her paw.
And to prevent licking, I put her Elizabeth color only for that time.
This is how she spent a week.
And when I took her to the vet again, I was relieved to hear that her wound was healing nicely.
The vet told me to keep the medicine on for another week just in case, so her Elizabethan collar life only in the morning continued for a wile.
The ladder was already quite old, so I removed it.
Miri, who had completely healed her wound, was jumping up the lookout.
And I’m really sorry for Miri who got injured, but Elizabeth color Miri is so cute!
