リスは以前から家の周りの木とかでよく見かけていたけど、
最近よく庭に来るように。
I used to often see squirrels in the trees around our house, but recently they have started coming to our garden more often.
朝、デッキ脇の楓の木の上から、ずっとこっちの方を見ていたリス。
窓に張り付いて写真を撮ったりしていたけど、全然逃げない、動かない。
やがて庭を走っていって梯子を上り、みりがいつも木登りしている楓の木にも登っていました。
In the morning, the squirrel kept looking at us from the top of the maple tree next to the deck.
I stuck to the window and took pictures, but the squirrel didn’t run away or move at all.
After that, the squirrel ran across the garden and climbed the ladder, and even climbed the maple tree where Miri always climbed.
そしてみりは今、リスに夢中。姿が見えると、ずーーーっと見ています。
鳥に向かっては鳴くけど、リスには無言で、ただひたすら動かずじっと見ているみり。
不用意に近づくとリスが逃げて、んもー！ って顔で見られるから、
望遠レンズで遠くからパシャリ。
Whenever she sees a squirrel, she keeps looking.
Miri meows at the birds, but she doesn’t speak to the squirrels, just watches them motionless.
When I approached her carelessly, the squirrel ran away and she looked at me with a disgusted face, so I took a picture from a distance with a telephoto lens.
