バリバリと凛々しい顔で爪を研ぐまるさん。
まるさんの爪とぎは激しいので、非常に盛大な音が鳴る。そして深夜や早朝でもお構いなし。
でもこの爪とぎも健康のバロメーターだから、立って盛大な爪とぎができるということは、
足腰のどこも痛くないという印でもあるので、非常に重要です。

一際激しい時は、トイレハイだったりする。

まるさんはだいたい朝の3時半から4時半の間に起きて、水を飲んだり、
うろちょろしたりするのですが、まるさんがうろうろしているとみりも起きて、
そのうち追いかけっこが始まる。
正しくは、みりに追いかけられて、まるさんが走って逃げるのだけど、
体力差があり過ぎるので、まるさんに負担がかかったりケガしたりしないよう、
激しくなってきたら「みり、ダメ！」って声をかけて止めさせるようにしている。
この間も、まるさんがバリバリと盛大に爪を研いだ後、ドドドドッと駆け抜ける重低音がしたので
「こらみり！」って声を掛けたら、みりは自分の寝床で寝てた…。
ゴメンみり、まるさん一人で自主練してた！
