約１年ぶりのお留守番のために給餌器を出すと、はなのつまみ食いが止まらない。
はなにとっては、もはやお留守番パラダイス。
そしてまるさんはというと――
I took out three automatic feeders for house sitting of cats first time in about a year.
Then Hana continues to nibble.
For Hana, it’s a house-sitting paradise.
And what about Maru?
まる：「今ぐっすり眠ってますのでどうぞお構いなく。」
Maru:[I’m sound asleep now, so leave me alone.]
給餌器が出たらお留守番とわかっているのか、すっかり拗ねまるに。
いつもだったら寝る時間じゃないのに、狸寝入りしている。
Maru may have sensed his house-sitting by looking at the feeder.
He is sulking, pretending to be asleep.
そしてたぶん、１年前のお留守番のことなんてすっかり忘れているみり。
みりはとにかく、給餌器からご飯が出てきたらちゃんと食べるんだよ！
And Miri’s probably forgotten all about the house-sitting experience a year ago.
In any case, Miri, when dry foods come out from the feeder, be sure to eat!

そしてこちらは、お留守番中のまるさん。
１日のお留守番なので、夜と朝は時間設定で自動的にカリカリが出てくるのですが、
夜、カリカリが出ると、走って来てカリカリを食べるまるとはな。
ですが、みりがなかなか食べに来ない。
そうこうしているうちに、まるとはなで、３台分のカリカリを全部食べてしまった。
（見守りカメラが別についていて、そのカメラでは部屋全体が見渡せるようになっています）
そこで、みりがリビングに来たタイミングで、１ポーションずつカリカリをリモート操作で出したのですが、
And this is Maru during house sitting.
Food comes out from the feeders at night and in the morning.
When the food came out, Maru&Hana ran to eat, but Miri didn’t come.
And Maru&Hana ate all the food from the three feeders.
So, while Miri was in the living room, I served the dry foods using remote control.
まる：「またおやつが出てきた！」
Maru:[Snacks are out again!]
カリカリを出すたび、まるさんが走って来る。
また出すと、まるさんが来る。
３回くらいでようやくまるさんが満足して立ち去り、その後、みりが食べに来たのを確認して一安心。
Every time I served dry foods, he came running.
On the third time, Maru finally left satisfied.
Afterwards, Miri came to eat, which made me feel relieved.
そして帰宅。
And I’m home.
まる：「この給餌器は同居人より優秀ですよ。ちゃんと満足するまでカリカリを出してくれます。」
Maru:[This feeder is better than housemate. It provides dry foods until I’m satisfied.]
１日ぶりのみりは、いつもより顔が険しい？
Is Miri’s face more grim than usual after seeing her for the first time in a day?
みり：「どちら様かしら？ 久しぶり過ぎてあまり覚えてないんだけど。」
Miri:[Who are you? It’s been a long time and I don’t remember you very well.]
少ししたらお気持ちがほぐれて、甘えてくれました。
After a while, her frozen heart thawed.
みりが、朝ごはんをあまり食べていなかったので早めに夕ご飯にすると、
たらふく食べていたはずのまるはなも、久しぶりにご飯をもらったみたいにガツガツ食べる。
Since Miri didn’t eat much breakfast, I served them dinner early.
Even though Maru&Hana were eating a lot from the feeder, they were eating as if it had not been a meal in a long time.
まる：「給餌器のカリカリは別腹なんで。」
Maru:[I have another stomach just for dinner.]
みんな食欲があって良かった！
I’m glad everyone had an appetite!
