一時はご飯も洗濯機の上で食べていたみりですが、
落ちる雪が減るとともに落ち着きを取り戻しました。

テーブルに置いてあった栗は、秋にお散歩に行った時に拾ってきたものなのですが、
一度だけリスが栗を持って庭から出ていくのを目撃したので、
また来るかもしれないと思って楽しみにしていました。

So I was looking forward to the squirrel coming to get the chestnuts again.

おサルさんたちが一瞬で平らげました。（誰が食べてもいいんですけどね。）
The Japanese macaques ate the chestnuts in an instant.
(Of course, it’s OK for the Japanese macaques to eat it.)
あっという間に空っぽです。
The plate was empty in an instant.
みり：「はな姉さんと同じぐらい早食いだったね。」
はな：「何よ！」
Miri:[They were as quick to eat as Hana.]
