どっちが本物かぱっと見ではわからないお刺身。
左が偽物で、右が本物です。
猫は偽物のお刺身を見破ることができるかどうかの検証実験を行いました。
I can’t tell which is real sashimi at a glance.
The left is fake and the right is real.
I conducted a verification experiment to see if cats could detect fake sashimi.
お刺身には目がないまるさんが、まさかの素通り。
３匹の中ではまるが一番お刺身が大好きで、
食卓にお刺身があると大変なことになるというのに。
こんなことがあっていいのでしょうか！？

はなとみりは、両方のお刺身を確認していました。
Hana&Miri checked both Sashimi.
そして結局、どちらも食べ物ではないと判断した様子。
And they seem to have decided that neither is food.
ラップを外したとたん、本物のお刺身に集まる猫。
猫はほぼ嗅覚で食べ物かどうかを判断しているということになります。
そしてこの検証実験で一番よく分かったのは、ラップの匂い遮断能力がの素晴らしさでしょう。
I took off the plastic wrap and the cats quickly gathered around the real sashimi.
It means that cats judge whether they are food or not almost by their sense of smell.
And what I found best in this verification experiment is the wonderful ability of wrap to block smells.
