トイレ掃除をしていると、必ずみりが来てくれる。
（途中でわざわざカメラを取りに行きました。）
Miri always comes when I clean the toilet.
(I went to get my camera in the middle of cleaning.)
邪魔するでもなく、ただただ後ろで見守ってくれる。
Miri watches over the toilet cleaning from behind without getting in the way.
みり：「ここで見てます。」
Miri:[I’m just looking.]
写真を撮っていたらはなも見に来た。
When I took a picture, Hana came too.
はな：「あたしに内緒で何してるのかしら。」
Hana:[What are you doing without telling me?]
大丈夫、トイレ掃除してるだけですよ！
I’m just cleaning the toilet!
続いて２階のトイレ掃除。
Next, I clean the toilet on the second floor.
みり：「もちろん、現れます。」
Miri:[Of course, I follow you.]
掃除中、振り返ってみりがいるとすごく嬉しい。
しかしそういえば、まるさんの姿が全然見えなかったんですけど。
I’m very happy to see Miri when I look back in the middle of cleaning.
By the way, I didn’t see Maru at all.
まる：「あいにく忙しくて。」
Maru:[As you can see, I’m busy.]
まるもはなもチビの頃はトイレ掃除を見に来てくれていましたが、いつの間にかちっとも来なく…。
その時は、来てくれることの有難みがあまりわからなかったけれど、みりがやってきてから、そう言えばまるやはなにもこんな時期があったなぁ、と良く思う。
Maru&Hana also came to see the toilet cleaning when they were kittens.
But before I knew it, they stopped coming at all.
Miri came and I finally realized that it was a very precious time.
